Heritage and Vision

The Estate

Quinta do Casal Monteiro is a family-owned estate located in the heart of the Tejo region. Founded in 1928, it combines tradition with a modern commitment to quality and environmental sustainability throughout every stage of production.

Terroir & Vineyard

Across 60 hectares of vineyards, Portuguese and French grape varieties are cultivated, with an average vine age of 35 years. The old vines, rooted in fertile alluvial sandy soils, naturally yield lower quantities and highly concentrated grapes, while sustainable practices preserve the soil and biodiversity.

The Wines

Influenced by the Tejo River, which creates significant temperature variation during ripening, the wines stand out for their freshness, balance, and aromatic intensity. Produced with respect for nature and resources, they reflect the character of the terroir and a responsible approach to viticulture.
